In the midst of the tryings for a rookie with pressure on her back, she is in a bit of a complicated relationship with fellow racer Ashton Mitchell.

In the midst of that, her father Dale Earnhardt Jr., is balancing the relationship that he has had with Tony Stewart and now fiance Lindsay McKenzie. Amongst their relationship, they also have the past that could still come into play and complicate their relationship.

This is the sequel to The Bruises. If you didn’t read The Bruises, you don’t have to necessarily read it to understand this story, but it is recommended. It’ll give you some background information on Angelica’s childhood and Dale & Lindsay’s past. All of which may come into play with this story. For those who read The Bruises, this takes place five years later as Angelica was 15 in that story.
