Chapter 71: The Crowning

Mayday #9

To say that the span of three months from December to February was terrorizing would be an understatement. A series of events happened that would forever changes the lives for Dale Earnhardt Jr., Marie-Anne Belle Kastona, Alyssa Earnhardt and Chase Elliott. For one, Marie and Dale were the Queen and King of Marie’s home country Pistronia. But on the other hand, each was dealt with reflections on some days of events that scared them forever.

Flash forward to the month of May, they’re in the thick of racing season and Chase’s Sprint Cup Series debut with Hendrick Motorsports is at the end of the month. The only problem is – those events come back with a haunting twist. Join us on part two of the journey as we see what happens with our sweet Chase, and how Marie handles running a country, planning a wedding and raising a four-year-old, all well chasing around her dear sweet racecar driving fiancé.

This is the sequel to Flight 88. It is recommended that you read that story to know how we got to this point, but it isn’t 100% necessary.

Though once you’ve been through that, how do you move forward? How do you put the past in the past? How do you begin to live your life? Dale and Chase will both try to do that as they try to move forward. Dale will be trying to move forward via the upcoming birth of his second daughter and planning a wedding with fiancé Marie Calantay, while Chase begins his first full year in the Sprint Cup Series.

This is the secondary future sequel to Flight 88 that was discussed after some late story musings. You do not need to read Flight 88 to understand, except if you want to know their past that’d be a great place to start. Plus, not to toot my own horn, but it’s a pretty good story 🙂
